About the Author

I began my writing career in 2012 as a romance author under the penname of Tamara Morgan. In 2019, I debuted as Lucy Gilmore. Although I started out my Lucy career writing romances, I’ve since branched off to explore themes of life, literature, and (of course) love.

I graduated from Eastern Washington University with an English degree, where I learned about Very Important Literature and also that I vastly prefer more lighthearted fiction—so much so that I can’t imagine writing anything else. In 2023, one of my women’s fiction novels, The Lonely Hearts Book Club, was chosen as the April Barnes & Noble Fiction Pick of the Month. Since that time, I’ve received several starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly and Kirkus Reviews, and have appeared in such publications as Women’s World, USA Today, NPR, and The Spokesman-Review.

One of the things I love most about being an author is interacting with readers, whether it’s at an in-person event or a book club Zoom chat. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like me to consider attending your event.

I also write cozy mysteries under the penname Tamara Berry.
